If you want to learn how to make money with a blog, you need to know the right products to recommend on your blog. If you are trying to sell products that your readers have no interest in or can not afford, you will not succeed no matter how good your blog is.  I will share with you some of my top tips on how to get the right products featured on your blog:

1.  Sell entry level products —  You will start making money from blogging when you realize that your first sales to most people will be low cost, entry level products.  This happens for a few reasons.  Most of your readers will be at a basic level in your niche, and many will not spend a lot of money on products from your site until they know and trust you.  You will do best with low dollar products to “warm up” your readers.

2.  Keep your price points down —  You want to sell products with great payouts like home study courses.  I know where you are coming from.  The bottom line is that most of your readers will not want to spend over $1000 on a course.  You will do much better over the long haul by keeping your prices way down for the products you are recommending.

3.  High value, low cost products are the winners —  You want to look hard and find products that are high value to your readers, even if they don’t cost a lot.  You need to provide value to your readers, or they will not come back to your blog.  You do not want to sell products that may not have a high perceived value, so make sure you are familiar with the products you are recommending.

You can do very well on your blog if you sell the exact right products for your readers.  Start your blog with high value, low cost products and your readers will respond well to this.  You can always change your product base down the road when your readers know you better and trust your judgment.
