At E3 2010 (a popular video game conference), Microsoft unveiled their new Kinect accessory for the Xbox 360.  Kinect will allow you to be able to control certain video games using only bodily motions.  You’ll also be able to control games with your voice because of the voice recognition capabilities of Kinect.  There are a lot of questions that pop up when it comes to a new technology, so hopefully this Kinect FAQ will be able to help clear up some of the popular questions that come up.

Can you play all Xbox 360 games using Kinect?

Unfortunately, you are unable to play all Xbox 360 games using the Kinect controls.  Games have to be specifically designed to utilize Kinect’s capabilities.  But, as far as Kinect compatibility goes, Kinect is compatible with all Xbox 360′s that have been sold to date.  All you’ll need to do is buy Kinect and the Kinect games you want to play, and you’ll be able to have motion control fun you want.

So what games can you play with Kinect?

Since you can’t play all games, this is naturally a popular question.  For the launch in November of 2010, there are 15+ games slated to be released around the same time that Kinect is released.  One of these is Kinect Sports that will allow you to be able to play various sporting games and events by simply moving your body around.  Kinect Adventures! is a game that will allow you to go through obstacle courses, go river rafting, play a 3D brickbreaker type game.  Your Shape: Fitness Evolved will be a popular game among mothers because it bring the benefits of a workout DVD, but gives an interactive element to it, allowing you to really find out how well you are doing the various exercises.
